Nadia entered into the United States in December of 1990 through deceptive means and with a well thought out plan. After just a few short months, Christopher discovers that his new bride&#8217;s intentions were far less than genuine and that her only reason for marrying him was to obtain a greencard. Once Nadia obtains the greencard, she packs up all of her belongings while Christopher is at work and disapears with their 3-year old daughter, Sonya. Nadia then files for divorce and immediately remarries another man in order to keep her legal status in the United States. She coerces her new husband to join in her efforts to involuntarily terminate Christopher&#8217;s parental rights.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffffff;font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffd700;font-family:arial;"><em><strong>The Cold War Marriage</strong></em><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffffff;font-family:arial;"> deals with the Christopher&#8217;s troubled marriage, his personal struggle, both emotionally &amp; financially, within the family courts system, over a 15-year period, to remain an active and loving parent in his daughter&#8217;s life, despite his ex-wife&#8217;s deplorable tactics and the multitude of obstacles that she placed in his way.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffffff;font-family:arial;"><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffd700;font-family:arial;"><em><strong>The Cold War Marriage</strong></em><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffffff;font-family:arial;"> is a self-help book for spouses who are being intentionally denied access to see their children. The book deals with all of the &#8220;war-games&#8221; and obstacles that an ex-spouses will play to deliberately isolate the other parent from their children. Being a true story, the book will educate the reader on how to overcome these obstacles and expose the ex-spouse&#8217;s cleverly disguised, true intentions to the Court and Mental Health professionals assigned to the case. In addition to the author&#8217;s commentary, the book also contains actual text from various related court transcripts, which will allow the reader to witness first-hand, what actually occurred in the courtroom. The book also contains correspondence between Christopher and Nadia through their emails, text messages, voice messages, etc.</span></span></span></p>

He also discovers newspaper clippings for apartment rentals.  Once Nadia&#8217;s greencard arrives, Nadia packs all her belongings and leaves with Sonya, while Christopher is at work.<br />

<li><b><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffd700;font-family:arial;">Chapter 4: Russian Witchcraft (1996) </b></span><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffffff;font-family:arial;"> &#8211; The struggles Christopher went through dealing with Nadia&#8217;s unorthodox approach to dealing with Sonya&#8217;s medical issues.<br />

<li><b><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffd700;font-family:arial;">Chapter 5: Taken (1996)</span><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffffff;font-family:arial;"></b> &#8211; Nadia sends Sonya to Russia for (4) months, while marrying another US Citizen. Upon Sonya&#8217;s return, Nadia tells Sonya that her new husband is now going to be her new father and that she will no longer see Christopher anymore.<br />
</span></p>
<li><b><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffd700;font-family:arial;">Chapter 6: Vindication (1996)</span><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffffff;font-family:arial;"> &#8211; </b>Nadia and her new husband&#8217;s unsuccessfully  attempt to involuntarily terminate the Christopher&#8217;s parental rights with respect to Sonya.<br />

<li><b><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffd700;font-family:arial;">Chapter 7: The Dating Game &amp; Back to Court (2002)</span><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffffff;font-family:arial;"> &#8211; </b>Christopher begins dating Sarah and a close relationship develops between Sarah and Sonya. Nadia however, extremely jealous over the newly formed relationship, once again reaches into her bags of tricks and tries to prevent Sonya from seeing Christopher and Sarah.  As a result, Sonya is expelled from middle school as she is now residing outside of the school district with Nadia. Christopher, fed up with Nadia&#8217;s games, files for full custody of Sonya.<br />
</span></p>
<li><b><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffd700;font-family:arial;">Chapter 8: Deceptions of a Priest (2006)</span><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffffff;font-family:arial;"> &#8211; </b>Nadia&#8217;s asks her Orthodox Priest/friend to take Sonya to visit her grandparents in Russia, however that wasn&#8217;t Nadia&#8217;s true motive for the trip. Upon Sonya&#8217;s return, she tells Christopher that she wants to live full-time with Nadia.  Shortly thereafter, due to a lack of parental supervision, Sonya&#8217;s begins failing in school, begins experimenting with alcholol &amp; drugs and inexcusable activities over the Internet.  Christopher takes legal action to save Sonya&#8217;s downward spiral toward disaster.

<li><b><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffd700;font-family:arial;">Chapter 9: The Tennessee Side-Step (2007)</span><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffffff;font-family:arial;"> &#8211; </b>Nadia&#8217;s last minute ditch attempt to ruin Christopher&#8217;s 2-week vacation with his daughter, Sonya, which resulted in an armed Constable storming into Nadia&#8217;s home to enforce the Court&#8217;s Order and retrieve Sonya.

<li><b><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffd700;font-family:arial;">Chapter 10: The Meddling Boyfriend (2007)</span><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffffff;font-family:arial;"> &#8211; </b>Nadia coerces her live-in alcohol/drug-addicted boyfriend, Phil, to try to interfere with Christopher&#8217;s relationship with his daughter, Sonya. However Phil was unaware that Christopher had access to Phil&#8217;s prior arrest records and quickly dropped out of the picture when Christopher confronted Phil about it. Later that year, around Christmas, Phil &amp; Nadia had an intense argument that resulted in a Police drug search in Nadia&#8217; home and Nadia filing a PFA (Protection From Abuse Order) against Phil.</li>

<li><b><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffd700;font-family:arial;">Chapter 11: Wild and Wonderful (2008)</span><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#fffffff;font-family:arial;"> &#8211; </b>Once again Nadia attempts to thwart Christopher &amp; Sonya&#8217;s summer vacation to a mountain resort in West Virginia, by wanting to send Sonya abroad for the summer.</li>

<li><b><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffd700;font-family:arial;">Chapter 12: Peace? (2009)</span><span style="font-size:x-medium;color:#ffffff;font-family:arial;"> &#8211; </b>Sonya graduates from high school and within a couple of months turns 18. She&#8217;s now an adult.  An end has finally come to all of the legal battles between Christopher and Nadia or has it? Can they both lick their wounds and move on with their separate lives? What lasting effect will all of this have on Sonya? How will this impact her future relationships? Nadia sends Christopher a text message on Sonya&#8217;s 18th birthday to stir up even more trouble. Two days later, Sonya is missing and no one will tell Christopher where she is.</li>
